Special screening of Piku for President Pranab Mukherjee

Even after weeks of its release, the Shoojit Sircar's Piku is still being applauded by the audiences. Now, the President Pranab Mukherjee is also interested to watch the film. Reportedly, a special screening has been planned for the president, which is scheduled for June 7 in New Delhi. As per the reports, Amitabh Bachchan will also join the special screening.

Piku stars Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles in the film. The movie is declared to have made highest collections for the year in overseas market. Also, it is amongst one of the few films that have managed to cross the Rs. 100 crore marks worldwide. While in the domestic market, Piku has earned about Rs. 73 crores, as of now.

Piku was highly praised for the uncanny script that it has. The movie showcases a beautiful relation of a daughter with his father. The family has the Bengali background in the film. Interestingly, President Pranab Mukherjee, who wants to watch this blockbuster movie, is Bengali himself.
