I can understand Dyuti dear..Even i get got time constraints ..So no need to feel pressure.. Also regarding patience .. I will be patient dont worry about that.. Dont worry about the pace..No need to rush it up ..Take your time ...

Hi Ashi,

That's very kind of u! It's my first FF. I've never written anything in life except few romantic Bengali poems. so I don't dare to call myself a proper writer. I hope I'll make some new friends in IF through 'Zephyr vs Tempest'.

Aww, you're a Taher fan too. I liked him a lot in NAUC. Too bad he's behind the camera more now.

Hi Lucky,

My name? Ah I never liked it, as it was very much uncommon in my country & no one could pronounce it properly .Still they get the spelling wrong everywhere.

I already know u as an avid Swasan Fan and came to read ur ff too. If my memory doesn't betray, you made a beautiful vm on 'Angel'. Feeling so good to find your response here and also buddy req! 😃 I'm distracting myself with this FF from ongoing negativity. 😭 Wish something miracle happens.
I'll try to put all my love for Swasan in this FF.

Angel is my fav of all FF's .. and I am surprised you remember the VM I made .. Oh you read my FF ..I am not sure which of them. hope you liked it and FF's are ways of reliving Swasan for all writers... so keep that going

At last I got time to edit this chapter. I was mortified to look at it even. It was so childish! It contained too much mistakes! I hope my newer readers will get a better impression about me!

CHAPTER 4

Somewhere in an unknown place...

Swara and Sanskar were being taken through unknown forest. Sanskar was thinking about sequelae of the dreadful journey. The abductors at first landed aircraft in a remote area. It was a village with few houses. The lands were barren mostly.they had chose a wide clear space hidden by large bushy trees for using as temporary runway. 2 helicopters were waiting there.each had 8 passenger seats. 2 more flyers were waiting there. The previous two terrorist, who flew the passenger plane joined them in cockpit. Swasan's hands were locked in handcuffs. Their luggage were carried by them as they contained medical instruments as well as personal belongings. They were to dragged to enter one chopper. Others followed too. Till the last minute Lakshya had held a little girl to prevent any last moment smart move from other ones. But there was no need really. Cruel fate of Abhinash made his colleagues grief stricken and cynical about Swara, and the others didn't have the courage to bear the same.

After flying for few hours they landed in a valley. From here their vehicles were some land rovers.Swara who was devastated and very exhausted, could not keep her eyes open. She dozed off on Sanskar's shoulder.as the trails were bumpy, she was about to collapse, but Sanskar stopped her fall by raising his locked arms, then caged her between them to prevent the same incident further.

It was a never ending night. Finale hour was remaining when they were brought to the enemy camp. The landrovers halted. Swara's slumber was broken with a jerk. Her eyes were still shut.Her mind could not comprehend with her surrounding, her head was leaning against something hard, her shoulder was caged tightly not allowing her to move, strong musculine scent filled her nostrils, something was lightly touching her forehead... as if she was lying in someone's arm who was hugging her backside...

Was she dreaming? Or had she left the world and found her abode in this beautiful heaven, where her soul mate bonded her in eternal embrace?

Had they killed her?

Her eyes shot open, remembering the events of cursed night. She struggled violently to get free, for a moment she thought a terrorist was holding her captive and she slept leaning on him!

Sanskar released her feeling the sudden movement. He spoke softly,
You are awake!'

Swara's expression was changed from aversion to surprise. It was Sanskar! She was going to say something but they were dragged to get down. She had been staring in his dark caramel eyes until a bout of hoots and rejoices started.

Well done Agni!' one of them cheered,' You've completed the mission successfully !'

No, we couldn't do as we had expected ! We had go for the alternative. Dr Avinash Mathur decided to act all patriotic and courageous unnecessarily and got himself killed,' Agni replied grimly, We had to bring his best trainee cum right hand and her anaesthetist fiance instead.'

Hope they can serve the purpose. Otherwise it won't be good for them. If anything happens to Chief, they'll see hell before death!'

Hey you two! Get ready for your work!' Another one barked at Swasan.
Swara was going to say something. Sanskar quickly covered her mouth and stated calmly,
Sorry , but the operation can't be done before tomorrow morning. You'll HAVE to excuse us!'

HOW DARE YOU???' Agni gritted his teeth and shouted,'HOW F*CKIN' DARE YOU???!!!!'

Swara pondered over the occurrences that had taken places through out the day. She couldn't think clearly. Everything was hazy. Her mind was numb with agony and fear. Moreover she couldn't perceive this Sanskar. Was he gutsy or plain dumb? He dared to convince them to postpone their demand for a day. He even said, his lovely wife-to-be hardly slept an hour at night. Moreover she worked 10 hours on the previous day. "A surgeon can't give hundred percent if she's not in sound mind & heath, and sleep deprived." He explained them.

His next words seriously made her want to kill him. He suggested to check their medicine stock as he needed some medication in large amount to conduct proper anaesthesia. What the hell! If Swara had the chance, she would've killed that chief by giving excruciating pain! Here he was acting all eager to lessen that sinner's suffering!

That Agni guy was satisfied though. Sanskar was taken by Laksh and she was brought to tent. A girl of around same age as Swara, accompanied her. The girl was fair, tall and beautiful . 'Was she terrorist too?'She wondered. Well she must be one, otherwise she wouldn't be roaming around freely. Her gaze was hard. She had incomprehensible expressions on her face. Someone called her as Ragini while ordering her to escort Swara to her tent while the luggage were carried by others.

Ragini stated curtly, You'll stay here. Change if you want to. Your breakfast will be give after sometimes. Until then rest.Whole camp is surrounded by our people. So don't even try to act smart otherwise... I hope you got my point?'

Saying she went out after threatening her . Anyways, Swara wasn't going to act hastily. It's not like she was too scared for her life. She was never coward. But Sanskar was also with her. After watching Abhinash to die in front of her eyes, she couldn't endanger one more life for her sake. She was used to face after effects of violence everyday and fight with Messenger of death. But after enduring the anguish and terror it had unleashed so nearly, her fortitude and never stop fighting spirit was shattered. At least for the time being.

The day went by, time was passing at a snail's pace. Darkness creeped in. Sanskar's voice entered in Swara's ears, which had nudged off from her zombie state.

I can't stay in the tent that you intended to keep Dr Mathur!' He was talking seriously.

Listen Mister!We're pleased so far for your cooperation with us. That doesn't mean you'll always have a choice! Don't forget you are a prisoner here!!!' Agni replied in anger.

I won't EVER leave Swara alone in a tent amidst a bunch of brutes!' Sanskar exclaimed.

W*F!!!' Swara shouted in her mind, Who the hell does he think himself? Why is he hell bent upon to get himself killed?'

Ragini spoke nonchalantly, In that case I'll stay with her.'

Sanskar's voice was filled with taunt now. And who ARE you? Her loving sister ? Or closest friend? I included YOU TOO in that bunch. You are the same criminal as they are!'

Laksh was furious YOU ARE CROSSING YOUR LINES OBEROI !!!'

I DON'T CARE!!! I've complied till now for her sake. I can deny again for her safety. And believe me! Your so called chief will go to coma if there's no anesthesia.It's your decision now. Keep us together or no surgery! Kill us if you want, I don't give a DAMN!' Sanskar declared finally.

FINE!!! You win! But for the last time, REMEMBER! Next time your this f****** attitude won't do any good for you!' Agni sound exasperated. Now get lost! We'll have to go for dinner.' He dismissed everybody.

After half an hour or so Ragini had kept the second sleeping bag with a blanket and left. She gave a nasty look towards Swara before going. The taunts didn't go well with her. The one who is responsible for the newly added hostility entered with two plates of food.

Eat Swara', Sanskar offered her one plate."You must be hungry"

Wow, how caring! Such a nice boyfriend I have! What I would do without you?How did I find you in my life? Wow I must have been lucky!'Swara uttered mockingly.

Listen Swara! I'm not in state to answer now.' Sanskar sighed

YOU...HAVE ...TO ...ANSWER!!!' She gritted her teeth and clutched his collar.

Please! Can you give me at least three hours? I don't have any physical or mental strength to confront you right this moment. After that say whatever you want, demand any explanation from me. I promise you to answer whatever you ask!' He pleaded,closing his eyes in an exhausted voice.

Swara nodded in acceptance .

The night had turned more somber. Gleams of dim lantern slivered through the ebony existence of the tent. The camp was brooding silent now, nature was only vocal here. The forest was crooning tunes of melancholy.

Swara looked at her watch. Three and half hours had passed. She poked Sanskar who was lying with his eyes closed.

Get up! I hope you had rested enough. You have to confront me now!'

Sanskar stood up. He faced her and calmly said, I remember my promise, Swara. Tell me whatever you want to say, shoot any question that comes into your mind. I have nothing to hide from you.'

Nothing to hide? Such a truth telling man you are! Since that flight you had been telling bullsh*ts one after another! Like what? We have long distance relationship! We're going to marry! You love me! How will you face your parents? You are complying with everything for me? Now what was that drama you did there to stay in the same tent ? Which question will you answer? Why did you dig your own grave?YOU ARE A MORON AND A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR DR SANSKAR OBEROI !!!' Swara's voice was full of taunts at first. Then it was accusing, next it was frustrated. After that her body was shivering with rage! She had stepped towards him and pointed a finger close to his face.

Sanskar also took a step forward and grabbed her raised hand with both fists of his own. He locked her gaze into his and whispered, My Darling Swara, you've stated two untrue facts. Firstly, I don't think Oberoi surname suits me well. And secondly... Who told you I'M A DOCTOR?'

Who are you then, Sanskar?'

Dear Dyuti,

That was an amazing update - you captured their torment / anguist / rage so well. Sanskaar does shift between concern for Swara and intense protection and quiet sarcasm with such ease.

So that is another element of suspense - Sanskaar is not Dr Oberoi and he is not a doctor. So is he some anti terrorist agent under cover? Whatever he is, I am simply loving this story.

Very very eager to read the rest, do update quickly.

Hi Nyna,

Sanskar's identity will be revealed more in upcoming chapters. Swasan's feeling for each other will be explored more. Suspense thriller writing is tough, as everyone had read many of them. I'm trying hard to avoid the clichs. The story I formed in my mind, I hope it will be something new in Swasan land.

It's really amazing to see a good respose like yours. Makes the hours of torcher on wrist and fingers worthwhile.
