Conversation

I have so much I want to learn about and so much that I want to share about..but nobody is willing to listen. So, I made another adam out of myself and now we talk all the time. I and I have a lot of meaningful conversations.

“Ultimately, the bond of all companionship, whether in marriage or friendship, is conversation.”

Until a few years ago, when it was time to close my eyes and drift away into the world called sleep, I used to lie awake reminiscing about the day that was no more. As all always, my eye-lids closed shut heavily on my sight and on my thoughts saying, " Talk, talk. All you did was talk and all they did was talk. Most of the talk was similar to the bark of a dog that does the barking without any rhyme or reason."

So, I stopped talking, and tried listening more, but only ended up hearing more of others do the talking, as if they were filling the vacuum left behind my sudden silence.

Have you ever wondered, when was the last time you really spoke to a person, had a meaningful conversation that left you all buzzed and charged, unlike that empty feeling when all you did was talk and heard others talk.

Now, I don't talk as much as I once did, but I do have a lot of meaningful conversations on a daily basis, and sometimes hours on end.

" OMG! You lucky b.stard. You are blessed to have such good friends with whom you are able to converse with " will be your reactions ( hopefully or maybe not) but sadly it is not plural in friends and just singular in friend, and that friend is myself.

Yes, I do have friends, a few that I can count on just the fingers of one hand ( five unlike Hrithik Roshans six finger hand) and yet, off late, I have stopped conversing with them for an important reason.

That reason is simple, I don't want to burden their already over-burdened shoulders with my thoughts and nightmares. Love does not mean you can lay down all your grief and sorrow on those you love and respect.

Now it is just me and my thoughts and we carry on our conversation, day and night, and even while asleep. In silence and even when my wife is snoring loudly, sounding like the tuba in an Orchestra.

Yes, I too snore. Although mine sounds more like the screeching's of a constipated parrot.
