As I don't know the other candidates for these NAs, I can only go with this decision... at least, Karthik's performance in Chandu Champion was praiseworthy, indeed.

Yami's movie was a political motivated one... I would prefer a recognition like an NA more for her role in Haq than in this one, but, basically, every award may get debated

Ranbir and Ranveer do not have national awards but chomu Kartik with his ugly teeth does...the joke writes itself.

Atleast Akki was handsome in his prime. Kartik looks ugly, acts ugly, ugly as a person...yuck.

Yami is undoubtedly the one NA winner that I can say is the most deserving in last one decade. What a performance it was too !

She definitely deserves for Haq too. Any day she's a much better and stronger actress than Alia .

Alia never did government backed roles, though...that's why I prefer Haq relative to Yami...

Don't think it's about that. SRK won NA for jawan which was about questioning the government. He still got it (though he deserved it long ago). So it's not biasedness for govt backed roles.

If this was the case Akshay would have won all the NAs till date

But Alia has done enough propaganda films . Don't she.. A certain narrative.. That's why all the NA.

Also, not all pro India movies are government backed. Not all movie makers are anti nationals. Some actually love their countries.

Anyways, Alia is a weak and incapable actress. She gets awards because of her actions and lobbies. Everyone knows that.
