10:00 Local Time, 09:00 GMT, 14:30 IST: Lord's has hosted five ODIs since the iconic 2019 World Cup Final. Teams batting first have won all five matches with the margin of victory exceeding 100 runs on three occasions. In this series, however, the chasing team has won both matches, although not convincingly. India hunted down 259 at Edgbaston on the back of fifties from Gill, Axar and Washington. England levelled the series in Cardiff by chasing down India's 233, thanks to Root's unbeaten 99. Since the 2023 WC, England have won just two of the eight bilateral ODI series. India, in the same period, have won four and lost three. What's in store today? Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the series-decider.

For India, Gill has been in sublime touch but both his knocks this series came to premature ends - walked off retired hurt on 80 in the 1st ODI and a sharp catch led to his downfall in the 2nd ODI. Rohit's ODI career has been the talk of the town. He's had two below-par outings this series and has crossed 50 only once in eight innings this year. With many rumours flying around, the BCCI issued this clarification - "The Lord's ODI won't be his last match." Kohli, after a rare failure in Birmingham, notched up his trademark fifty before Jofra dismissed him for the second time in as many outings. Shreyas Iyer, who was India's best batter in the T20Is, threw his wicket away in the first ODI but his fifty ensured India crossed 200 on Thursday. Unlike the first ODI, the all-rounders contributed nothing as Washi, Axar and Dube scored 3 runs in total.

The hosts strengthened their pace attack for the second ODI and emerged victorious. They are unlikely to make any drastic changes. India will be forced to make a change as Washington has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. It'll be interesting to see who replaces him. A spinning all-rounder in Harsh Dubey or a frontline spinner in Kuldeep Yadav? If KL Rahul is fit, he should slot back into the XI. Promises to be a cracking game of cricket. Stick around for toss and team updates..

England also have a few issues to address in the batting department. While the openers survived umpteen plays and misses at Edgbaston and forged a fifty partnership, both left-handers were dismissed cheaply in Cardiff. Captain Brook hasn't translated his T20I form into the ODIs. Jos Buttler's highest score this year in ODIs is 38. Joe Root, meanwhile, is amassing runs for fun. His scores this year - 61, 75, 111*, 76* and 99* - are a testament to it. England enjoy good batting depth. Dawson recorded his maiden fifty batting at number eight in Edgbaston while the likes of Curran, Jacks and Atkinson chipped in with handy runs to support Root.

As usual, Gill lost the toss and England opted to bat first!
