India Set to Ring Changes After Clinching T20I Series

With the T20I series already secured, India are likely to make changes for the third match against Zimbabwe in Harare. Captain Shreyas Iyer confirmed that Prince Yadav's injury could force at least one change, while the team management may also use the dead rubber to test its bench strength.

Prabhsimran Singh could finally earn his international debut, while all-rounder Suryansh Shedge is another player waiting for a T20I opportunity. India will balance experimentation with the aim of completing a rare clean sweep over Zimbabwe.

Finally things are coming together for Shreyas and Co. The immediate goal is to sweep this series after two dominant wins. Zimbabwe were pretty good against Bangladesh before India arrived and they will be highly disappointed with how the first games planned out. Captain Sikandar Raza wants to take the onus on himself for the lack of runs. There have been flashes of quality with the bat but they haven't quite managed to string together that demands a challenge or respect from the opposition. Can they get their act right in this final game and give us a tight game?

Speaking of the management, the BCCI has said that it will conduct a review of the team's performance in the UK where they will also decide on the contracts of a couple members of the support staff.

Prince Yadav has been on a dream run since IPL 2026. He's carried his effectiveness into the internationals as well and alongside Yash Thakur and Mayank, the trio looked quite penetrative and threatening as well. But a hamstring injury while bowling to Prince rules him out at a time when he was making good progress even at this level. Yesterday, Shreyas hinted at changes for this game. Ashok Sharma could slot back into the side. Is the management keen on Suryansh Shegde as well?

Sikandar Raza | Zimbabwe captain: We wanted to bat first as well. The team lacks slightly more runs from the captain. Hopefully myself and the team have a good outing. Forced changed this morning, Richard Ngarava has a niggle so Wellington Masakadza is playing.

Shreyas Iyer | India captain: Going to bat first, considering that is it the same wicket as yesterday. Expecting it to slow down as the game goes on. It will be important for us to adapt quickly. Pitch report: Wonderful day to play cricket. Same pitch as yesterday. India bowled more slower deliveries and got the rewards. It's a used pitch, and now I'll just go down. I can't go too far. I just want to look at the size of the cracks here. They are a lot more pronounced, and that tells me that this pitch is very, very, very dry. So that will shave off about 20-30 runs. I think the spinners are going to play their part, and also the seamers, in terms of their variations and their slower deliveries. It's a surface that's been used, but there's still runs to be had.
