Yes to the first question. So let's suppose you make the arrow but you also have 5 extra numbers on that card. Don't mark those 5 extra numbers. Just the arrow shape.
Yes a row, column, or diagonal of 5 numbers. Those 5 numbers could include the free cell so it would technically be 4 numbers + free box.
