Hey dear, thank u so much for this beautiful review and I am extremely sorry for the delay in responding to it. Actually when I saw it first, I was about to post my next chapter so I thought let me post then will respond. After i posted I immediately got busy with the next chapter- because their argument scene was midway and I didn’t want to lose the momentum or coherence.. phir toh bas dheere dheere chapter hi likhti rahi
Finally them.. just them spending time with each other without thinking about anything ...
Hmm .. right
Tulsi’s reflection on how every first step towards physical affection over the past few months had been taken by her, never by Mihir… and now, he is the one offering her his arm. It feels like they have finally reached a stage where we can see a different Mihir..a Mihir who is slowly learning to express his feelings, take initiative..
yes .. the flirting Mihir is surfacing back..
Happy to see him taking steps without constantly asking for her permission. From moving his chair to sit beside her instead of opposite her, to ordering food for her everything feels like a small but significant step forward.
Yes .. that was the idea - small things carrying significance rather than dramatic moments
He is finally becoming more confident in their relationship and showing her, through his actions, that he wants to be a part of her life.
Yeah exactly
Just in awe of their conversation… the care between them, the way they look after each other, and even the simple act of ordering food they make it so much more .. It’s all so natural and heartwarming.
Yeah that conversation I couldn’t get right for a long time- took a lot of rewrites.
Finally, Noina is realising that the PR campaign she ran against Tulsi has completely backfired on her. She has now been painted as the other woman not just that, but as someone who is after a married man even when he is clearly in love with his wife.
Exactly- the media circus she orchestrated in chapter 8 or 9 I think- backfired in more ways than 1. Firstly it kind of paved the way for TuHir reconciliation, and as you said above she’s now seen as a parasite who’s behind a man who clearly loves and respects his wife a lot.
Somewhere, I thought that maybe she would finally realise what these two have and just leave them alone. But then again, she saw exactly the same thing six years ago and still pursued him.
She’s not that kind of woman who would back off even then. Just not her nature
Watching their relationship from Noina’s perspective is actually fun. Her slowly coming to the realisation that Mihir never really did anything for her, nor was he ever truly close to her...it was all in her head ..
Correct - it was so much fun to write too. All she got was - a mocking ‘Noina darling’, unfeeling side hugs and cutting taunts
She was so busy celebrating her victory and believing that Mihir would eventually come to her that she never stopped to think about what she was actually doing to him... or that he was so cold towards her .
What she was doing to him - didn’t matter to her - neither his happiness! If his happiness ever mattered to him, she would have seen how happy he had always been with tulsi. But she just wanted him. And slowly deluded herself into thinking she was better for him and that it was just a matter of a little more push that he would come into her arms.
. The whole lunch, from the starters to the dessert, was so wholesome and romantic in a way that never felt excessive.
Hey I’m so so glad it all came out so well
And the bill payment… man. It really makes me think about what Mihir must have been doing all these six years. He must have replayed every memory in which he wronged Tulsi, blamed her, or made her feel less important.
Exactly!! I wrote clearly he had insomnia in her absence - laying awake with his regrets. From the smallest mistakes to the biggest cheating - physical na sahi, emotional cheating toh thi hi
Now, he is trying to change everything—from the smallest things to something as significant as this. And it also makes me realise that he couldn't have changed everything in just the few months since Tulsi came back. To think so deeply about every single mistake he made and then consciously try to redeem himself would take a lot of time.
Yeah correct —he’s trying to correct every small mistake he ever made and heal every wound he gave her - that’s his idea and a promise he’s made to himself- now that she gave him another chance
Maybe this is what Mihir has been doing all these years—slowly confronting his mistakes and figuring out how to make things right, one by one.
Exactly - as I just wrote above
Noina's still in delulu.. that Mihir is going to lie to Tulsi.. the problem with her is she never fell in love .. or not in a way they are in love to understand that they are together in everthing..
That’s precisely the problem with delusional people
Loved the confrontation...
Thanks - so glad
Noina said everything she could to do some damage but ..
Obviously - she was like if I didn’t get him, let me damage their relationship as much as I can
Tulsi's dialogue ... "Mere doston aur dushmano ka ek standard hai." felt the same way when tulsi had thrown noina out of the SN in the show ..
this dialogue - in fact almost all the dialogues of the confrontation I took from the show itself - I have a good memory so I remembered some and some I saw those episodes again.
The car scene and Tulsi’s breakdown… it really reminded us that no matter how strong she appears, she is still a woman...a married woman .. One of the hardest things a married woman could ever have to deal with is her husband’s obsessive lover, especially someone who went to such extreme lengths to destroy their marriage and their lives.
Yes exactly. Tulsi almost never cries (at least not easily) so she had to reach this kind of breaking point some time. This seemed the most natural moment and as u rightly said @blue
The puja, the video call with Karan and Nandini, and the balcony kulfi scene… all of it brought back that same essence of family that your story has carried so beautifully throughout. These small, everyday moments of togetherness make the Virani family feel so warm and real.
yes I too love writing these family scenes
