Well see, sometimes even the kids have to understand that they won't just stay with their spouse. Agar their spouse is not comfortable with the rest of the family, then again this person would be sandwiched between the spouse n parents.
U can strike a balance only when both the sides are ready to adopt to each other. Even the parents and the spouse have to come forward with open arms.
And for every mom, her kids are always small, even after they have grandchildren. So nothing wrong with that. But there is a way of expressing it, Mommy Y shouldn't have said it so bluntly. She could have explained much more softly.
I agree that both sides have to accept each other but in the end it's the couple who is spending the life together with each other. Yes the lady needs to learn to get her point across in a way that is not offensive to anyone. There's something called your child's happiness that she needs to take under consideration before making such harsh remarks.
