I hate that dialogue and then another thing " Kanyadan". A daughter is given away to the groom and since it is a dan after marriage she is the sole responsibility of the groom and his family.

First the words Kanyadan and Paraya Dan need to go from dictionary. They are the most regressive words and used out of context.

why was she covering up his actions ?

Why was she expecting her daughter to settle down with any random man he chooses ?

I hate Jagat but I hate Sarita for taking it all these years. He had the audacity to call Colonel to order him to stop Anjali. On what grounds ? Just imagine if it was a Govt expedition he would have forced Colonel to do that either.
