I wouldn't call it cost cutting. I think it's a lack of good stories. Even the ones with the long intros, the cases are not that great.
Plus I do believe the 3 episodes a week is crazy hectic. All the actors have to appear in each episode and thus they are always shooting.I agree with the last point completely. In fact, it has happened many times on this forum where we've discussed what to fix, how to fix it, and what works and doesn't work. But it appears that it doesn't make much of a difference sadly.
Communicating those suggestions to the crew got me replies like ' we will think about it/ we are bound by certain guidelines'. I am done with suggesting anything at all.

^ Honestly they can be a family show and still be crime-oriented and suspense-based.
The earlier episodes weren't violent. They were strong murder mysteries, missing cases, fraud cases, etc. that were based on around good suspense, investigation, thrill, and realism. Cases like The Missing Father or The Suicidal Student were informative, suspenseful, nailbiting, and not violent at all.And in today's day and age kids are quite smart. My neighbours have a 7-year-old whose already watching shows like Criminal Minds. If they can take American crime shows, then why can't our Indian crime shows be at least half as violent?I love CID still. I may not watch every episode anymore and I may have just bad to say, but I sincerely watch it with the hopes that maybe one day they'll improve. That they'll listen to their fans and actually make changes.I don't mind biweekly. Even during the biweekly era we had some really good episodes. In fact more good, than bad. So they should go back to that. Or at least get more and better writers!
