Finished reading the Cursed Child! Wasn't as bad as I feared, but probably because I already knew the most "shocking" spoilers.
SPOILERS AHEAD.
What I did like was the relationship between various characters, that everything wasn't perfect or happy, and Scorpius/Draco, Scorpius/Albus, Harry/Ginny, Romione moments.
What I didn't like - weird plot, hardly follows any of the rules of the magical world JKR laid out in the main books, VERY weird plot, Ron being reduced to comic relief yet again like it was in the movies. Not a lot of depth to any of the "side" characters - Rose, especially.
Also, Delphi... in spite of knowing about her for a while, it's very hard to believe.
Basically, the plot doesn't seem to have been thought out well at all. Things happen for the sake of happening, barely any logic in it. I suppose it'll be enjoyable if you're watching the play because it was certainly fast-paced and not boring, but 😕.
Edit - the book is really pretty.
Edit 2 - There's quite a lot of magic involved, wonder how they showed it in a play.
