As a singer has Sonu Nigam come closer to Kishore and Mohammed Rafi's - Page 2

It is true that Sonu has the calibre to be compared to Mohd.Rafi and Kishore Kumar. No other present singer or even Udit or Kumar Sanu have that calibre. Thing is, he is the only singer who can justify any song, his own and even other singer's songs; most importantly songs sung by legends themselves. He is the only one who does not sound offending when singing those songs. But I would not say he is better than Mohd.rafi & Kishore Kumar. For the simple reason, their stature as legends does not deserve this. But, Sonu's versatility in singing any style of song, Rafi Sir's, Kishore Kumar, Mohd.rafi, even Lata Mangeshkar, of any singer and of any genre makes him a legend in his own right. Better or not better than others.

He is baap of live performances, so definitely he is better than all the 90s and current singers. This video, of his performance in one of IIFA awards is an example of his calibre: -
