Priyanka Chopra to miss Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding; here's why

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding is the current talk of the town and everyone's interested to know the guest list. One celebrity who will not be attending the wedding is Priyanka Chopra.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, who has been in a serious relationship for the longest time, will be getting hitched on May 8, 2018.

While rumours were rife for the longest time about their wedding day, the Kapoor and Ahuja family recently released a statement thus confirming the speculations.

The statement read, "From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives. Thanks & Regards."

While the Mehendi function will take place on May 7 the wedding ceremony will be held on the morning of May 8 while a grand reception will be hosted by the Kapoor and Ahuja family at The Leela.

Everyone is eager to know the guest list and who from Bollywood will be attending the wedding festivities. One Bollywood star who will not be attending the wedding is Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in New York promoting Quanticoseason 3 on various talk shows, as the crime drama premiered on April 26, 2018.

On May 8, in particular, Priyanka will be walking the red carpet at Met Gala 2018 and hence will not be in India to attend Sonam and Anand's wedding.

Speaking of Quantico, the show will only have 13 episodes.

Priyanka and Deepika are such attention seekers! Neither is related to the people getting married nor are they their close friends that anyone would have expected them. What is the NEED to give out information about where they will be on the day of wedding?

And really Priyanka and Deepika are still in the validation seeking from the West mode? What the hell is Met Gala? Who cares if they attend it apart from their fans? They will anyways be mistaken for each other or Sonam or Freida at the function so big deal!

Priyanka doesnt have a PR... so this is definitely Media sharing information about PC for her fans... but for DP, its her PR that only cares...no media even look at DP... infact they take money to post her PR articles...

I don't understand how y'all are saying these are pr stuff. Like one can just look at the date and then major bw people's schedule and just make that guess lol. Anyone can do this. Its the universal law of elimination. 😆

How long it will go?

It is Sonam's wedding. She is the centre of attention. We are more interested to hear about her, the wedding, who came, who danced etc. Who cares, who did not come, why they did not come etc?

Yesterday it was about Deepika, today PC. Tomorrow it will be Modi. (PM cannot attend because of some election). Who cares?
