As far as I know fawad said rifat, the evil cow put the blame of mahira's death on little fawad to save zain, as rifat knew fawad was a child and so she thought he would get a lesser punishment by law. This is why fawad hates rifat because he accuses her of favouring zain more hence when she framed him to save her favourite son, zain. This has me in a muddle, as what little fawad says makes it sound like zain killed mahira, but he never would do that. Zain was unconditionally by mahira's side even when he got to know about her affair with rihaan, and he respected her still.
Maybe the zain and mahira divorce never happened and zain-mahira continued as husband and wife, and she got pregnant with zain's child? Soon after the child's birth she was murdered as we say aliya was just a baby, maybe only a few weeks or months old?
I can't see rifat gullibly believing that aliya is zain's child and not suspecting she is rihaan's knowing how much rifat started hating mahira post the affair reveal, unless rifat knows the child is zain's. If mahira had sexual relations with rihaan even during her marriage to zain, then her being pregnant with rihaan's child makes sense, but when would mahira have had an opportunity after marriage to even sleep with rihaan? The only way is maybe they did the deed before her marriage to zain, but we don't know how long her marriage to zain was or whether she had any sexual intimacy with rihaan or zain and when to be able to know this. Cv's better answer these questions related to mahira, aliya and zain.
And yes, the old zain played by avinash mishra is so hot. Zain's characteristics are also changed now too. They seem to be acting like zain was never even handicapped, because no character has pointed out or asked him how he is walking without a limp. 😕
Anyways, I hope aliya is mahira and zain's, not rihaan's. This way it would make sense why rifat is concerned for aliya and wants a mother for her. Plus I never liked rihaan whatsoever even though I felt sorry for him because of his evil father kicking him out just because he refused to trap mahira and ditch her and because of his horrid and humiliating death with false terrorist tag.
