afreen can forgive her mother in law

this show was shot in dubai right....and according to dubai's law if a wife forgives her husband's murderer, then the killer is pardoned by law too.....so why can't afreen just forgive her mother-in-law for killing her husband....the situation is similar to the movie 'Dor', and in that movie too they showed that if the wife forgives her husband's killer, then the law automatically pardon the killer without any sentence.... so why can't afreen just forgive the killer instead of going through all the case rulings and stuff?

Because even though they show them as lawyers, they have no idea what they're doing 😆
