Is it time for UKA to wrap up?

UKA has been grinding its gears for a while now. Falling trps and storylines lacking the usual zing and entertainment are part of this I think.

I don’t know about the original so am basing my opinion on the Hindi version only. I read they are planning a leap soon. This is the first red flag that a show is likely to wind up as the makers have run out of ideas.

If I were the makers I would look to creating solid storylines and resolving current ones within the next 6 months and then wrap up the show. It is better to go out on a high rather than limp along - with leaps proving to be the final nail.

At the moment there seems to be no character growth. Renuka is just the same there is no progression on her part. Sailee and Sachin are just coasting along with nothing interesting to say or do. Riya and Akash are meh as usual. As for Tejas and Kalyani…again things are going no where.

Now Mandira has the house papers it would be good to see the Deshmukh’s evicted and see their struggle to get back their home. The weird Heyy Baby storyline should wrap up immediately - even though the little cutie is adorable. It just doesn’t make sense - unless the baby’s parent can be useful in a future storyline.

I’ve found the show disappointing and boring recently. I’ll admit I’ve only been catching up on it on and off as I no longer find it as fun as I used to.

UKA is more or less going the the direction of the Tamil version. I guess there's a lot more to come.
