BOI:

The collections of the film stand at 82 crore nett and its likely to finish at around 85 crore nett as the release of Dhamaal 4 will mean limited collections post week three.

Cocktail (2012) was a HIT but did not get much appreciation with the wider audience as collections also came down fast and that was without any competition which is not the case here but in terms of costs the film did well. Here its a notch lower as commercially the film has not done well and there is nothing to say about appreciation as collections tell that story. The collections of Cocktail 2 are as follows.

Week One - 62,57,00,000

Week Two - 16,25,00,000

Week Three - 3,50,00,000 apprx (4 days)

TOTAL - 82,32,00,000 apprx

Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, collected Rs. 16.30 crore in its third week, with Rs. 1 crore coming on Thursday. The Homi Adajania directorial recorded a 75 per cent drop from the opening week, which isn't a good hold. Furthermore, it recorded even a lesser second week than Main Vaapas Aaunga's third week, which suggests its theatrical end very soon.

Though on the face value, Cocktail 2 has performed better than Pati Patni Aur Woh Do and Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, but it hardly matters as external factors boosted its sales from the advances themselves. That said, the real figures would be much lower. The film would end up being a flop.

i think they are basing it on WW now but even then movie is barely struggling to break even

kriti's PR needs to stop calling it her hit..they are trying to milk this as her 4th hit in a row..not working! looks like an average at best

True.

This kind of PR actually does more harm than good. Kriti was actually one of the better parts of this movie. She does not need to do this kind of false pr. Yet, here we are.

A movie becomes hit or flop due to many reasons .

Why they even had 150 crores budget first of all, I could never understand What were they thinking? Anyway they will recover the budget from box office + satellite rights (I hope).
