Every year hundreds of general category students commit suicide because of reservation in our education system. So many more who continue to live and struggle never reach their dreams , which they deserve as per their merit and hard work both . They don't get their dream seat in their dream field or their dream university when they watch someone far less worthy grabbing and enjoying the same privileges generation after generation.
What of them ? Do we hear anyone talking about them ? Forget CJP , as that was never about students or fair education or even education. What about general public and so called socially responsible stars who are now crying tears day and night for country's youth and their future and education system reform , fair chance etc.etc. falana dhimkana..why none of them ever said a single word to remove reservation system from education?? In that case, we are okay with less worthy doctors and engineers ig !!
Our main opposition parties are openly saying not only they'd increase reservation when they come into power , but they'll even introduce quota in private sectors too !
When TMC was in power in West Bengal ,not only did they gradually increased the state reservation level to an absurd level , they introduced many sc/st/ obc quotas for non hindus ! We were told casteism is a curse of Hinduism specifically and other better religions ( aka Abrahamic religions ) don't have caste system ? Then, how are they getting caste based privileges ??
No one said a single word . No protest. No Sonam Wangchuk came to fast for us.
Guess general category students are not human beings. So their lives, hopes , dreams , future, nothing matters.
Those 21 students who lost their lives and the cockroaches and their supporters couldn't get tired of using their deaths as a talking point, do you know all 21 of them belongs to general category ?? Are we ready for the conversation about what kind of mental pressure , hopelessness and distress a gc student goes through before each and every single exam they sit for in their lives ??
Every year general category achievers are fleeing the country , exodus style because they know not they don't have a future here , their children will have to suffer the EXACT same unfair reservation system that ruined their lives. My own cousin vehemently says, " Kahi bhi ja kar rahe lenge, gulami kar lenge , pad yaha nehi. "
In this farce of a protest in the name of education I saw the same Jai Bhim bs, the same shaming of general caste people , same complete absence of including the curse of reservation in the entire conversation.
Don't you effing dare to tell me this joke was a protest about education! This country is becoming a joke with how people get on board with these theatrics that will, in the end , cause no real progress as they're carefully skirting across the real problems because those problems are not in their interest or in their party manifesto.
