I dont think necessarily they r trying to create the same magic becus Banoo Mai...has a total different storyline n msg then Santaan. While Banoo revolves around a girl, her life primarily, Santaan shows the reality of difference btwn kids n their parents in times of today.
Btw, I notice in almost all serials all girls tend to wear shalwar kameez, or churidaar before marriage. It is jus to show a change after their marriage. Like even Anu dressed differently n now shes all time in sleeveless sarees.
