Interesting story Lalita..thanks for sharing that with us...but i never heard of that version either...all i knew was that Valmiki ji did become a thief...didn't know if there was a specific reason as a curse behind it!!!!!

but sage dhoumay heard for the first time....
as it has been pointed out he made 24 amendments in tht...thts why it shld be call dhoumay's ramayan
but still Valmiki is the original author so be Ramayan called as dhoumya's Ramayan...
