Looks like it is history day for me. ๐๐๐
The use of flat piece combs (like the one Sita used), its history goes back to the stone age. These combs were used in all cultures. The etymology (the origin of the word) goes back to ancient Greek and Sanskrit. In Sanskrit it meant "to bite." Archaeologists have found combs in all continents and countries including Americas (Native Americans), Europe, Africa, Egypt, China, India, and other areas.
The designs of these combs range from simple to ornate. The materials used range from wood, ivory, deer antlers, and such.
Only, as usual, the Sagars have their heart in the right place but have a problem executing it. ๐๐๐ They should have shown Sita using some old fashioned wooden comb.
Congrats on Goldie Aradhana. ๐
