Thanks for the update, Netra. The conversation between Ganesh and Saravanan suggests that Saravanan may have comandeered a cadaver from the hospital where he was working and aided Ganesh in setting fire to Arti's house after spiriting her away somewhere else (perhaps Singapore). The body may have been charred too badly to allow for DNA testing with Arti's mum or dad to prove that it was indeed she who had died in the fire. (I know our serials these days are fond of DNA testing to establish parentage.)
This still doesn't exonerate Ganesh. He may have done what he did to help his girlfriend Arti. But it doesn't explain his link with Meera. Is he privy to her dark secret? Where is Arti? Is she still alive? Did Meera actually die?
The plot will thicken when Suja lands in Varadharajan's home. The fact that she has to go to lengths to identify and track down Ganesh suggests she is not a born-again Meera, whom Ganesh knew. Will Ganesh now mistake Suja for Meera? Will Suja play along? Why is Suja involved in Arti's case? Is she the friend that Arti mentioned who looked like Meera? (I must say the straight-haired and the curly-haired Meera can pass off as two different women from a distance. I note also that Suja has a mole on her chin, which I don't recall seeing on Meera.)
OK, sorry if I have added to the confusion with my questions ;-) My greatest concern is that the creative team may forget the story after 2-3 years and add to the confusion. Already, they changed DSP to AC!
