Roja starts distributing baklavas - Hema is preggie folks. Starts with Hema doing "uvve uvvee" and mommy beaming. Mommy wants Hema to inform hubby darling ( Parthi, eppo varuveenga?? eppo antha veet le attendance??? omnipotent omnipresent aa???) "share the happiness with mappillai, I will clean up" . Hema goes to Parthi and says - "neenga appa aaga poringa..unga vaarisu in my tummy... your family vaarisu is growing in my tummy ..." ( all are same right??? or you yourself have a doubt that Parthi could not be the dad?? or u are not preggie at all??? Rojaaaa unakku ethukku vambu?? Will you ever learn??!!) Parthi is shocked. Hema is surprised - "enna Paarthi, as soon as you heard the news, you should have run to buy a golden cradle??" Paarthi says that the time is not ripe for a baby."If dad comes to know this....finished. You better abort this. Hema fusses a bit and then agrees -"Ok, done but on one condition . Aanandhi should not conceive too...." Brings some tablets and gives it to Parthi - "make sure that she takes this every day..." ( Parthi has left his brain back in the locker. Does not think twice about the ever ready Hema Pharmacy stocking up contraceptives !!! or the serial families include contraceptives in their grocery list ?? Like how they buy a bottle of poison and keep it ready for any emergency???) Parthi takes the tablet. Now Roja is convinced that Hema is not prgnant . Since Parthi has locked his brain in the safe, he does not see the obvious !!!
Suja and daddy - daddy is crying. Suja probes , daddy says "nothing" just forgets to say that it is "some dust in the eyes" - probably fed up of saying the usual explanation , thank God for small mercies. Finally Suja probes and daddy spills. He is not able to witness Suja entering the gallows (???!! You got it wrong daddy..she wants to send Ganesh to the gallows !!!) - "yaar epdi pona namakku enna?? why do u want to spoil your life? come let us go back to S'pore" Suja runs the adoption story and says that she would feel guilty to leave her biological family in the lurch(??!!) now. Now daddy says that he does not want to be a party to this celebrations " before u get married, let me go back" Suja convinces that it is once in a life time opportunity and he has been invited to see her "entry in to the gallows" -" Please do not miss it.." Daddy agrees. Parthi and Aanandhi in the bed room. Aanandhi beats her own trumpet "athai and maama are very happy about my official achievements. They want a grandchild soon. i have promised twins - one for each" Parthi looks kadu kadu and says that he does not share the same enthusiasm -" no, not until I get a gold medal as a business man" ( ippo gold medal kudukkarangalaa business men kku??? Maathittangalaa??? Roja makes a mental note to check with the Indian Chamber of Commerce..) A shocked Aanadhi observes that he already has that all. Parthi says that he does not want kids and gives the tablet got from Hema Pharmacy - goes to bring a glass of water but Aanadhi can swallow this tablet with out the help of water ... some compensation for marrying a Cod like Paarthi ....
Varatha and wife - Varatha is pensive. Wife wants to know the reason for this melancholy. Varatha says that he is worried about Gaya - "she is sitting here as if nothing is wrong. After marriage, girls can not stay in the parental home. eternally !!! She has to make amends.." Sivagamy says that he forgets his SIL's misdemeanor -" he lusted after Gaya's sister !!! he has to come , apologize and take back Gayu, athaane murai?" Varatha says that SIL has repented. Calls Gayu and wants to talk. Gayu comes and sits . Varatha starts " As parents, we have some responsibilities. We have to invite SIL for the wedding. Both SIL s should stand outside and welcome the guest. If the chinna maappillai alone is present wont every one ask about the first SIL? shame on us !!1 Let us go now and invite SIL for the wedding and we will leave u there." Gaya looks stern and points out " do u expect him to respect and welcome you when u go there? You seem to be more worried about what the relatives will talk!!! You do not care for your daughter's feelings?? Ok, u go , invite him and let him come. But I wont come for that wedding..." Leaves. As usual Suja is listening... Roja wonders - "namakku namba velai seyyave time is not enough !! how does Suja manage to run every one's life???
Starts with Ratnavel in the registrar's office. Ratna has a face which got "slapped by a ghost" - The registrar wants to rub some salt and so asks -"enna sir? unga payyanaa??" Now Ratna tries to do the impossible - he just has one spoon of cooked rice and he wants to hide a hybrid variety ash gourd !!! The form says that the father of the groom is Velu - "no, the one who got married here is not my son.... my friend's son... Singaravelu's son....." leaves. (thennaiyai petha ilaneeru, pillai yai petha kanneru - BG by Roja). Scene shifts - Ratna is at work, signing some papers. Paarthi walks in - all angry and ready to confront dad for the "injustice" done to him. " Why did you do this? I go to the ATM to witdraw money and my card is null and void. I am told by the bank manager that I cant sign a cheque !!! What is up dad?? You want to demean me? pray why?"
Daddy starts - "arumai perumaiya unnai valarthene..aaachhh... ipdi pannittiyeee...aaachhh " - any one wants to have parenting lessons?? You have landed at the right place 😳 " Paarthi, as soon as you were born, I was told that I have a son to head my empire. I was so thrilled that I bought housing plots for all my 137 employees. Many of them have bulit houses there and still living happily. Why did i do that, to demean u? I told her that you are a rich man's son and so should live up to that....... did I do all this to demean you?" ( Roja brings a glass of juice for herself - listening to this monolog drained her) Finally says that it is all in Paarthi's hand. "You want the power of Attorney back? simple, go the registrar's office and register your marriage with Aanadhi - next minute, you will get back the powers" Paarthi leaves - without a word. (Registrar office pona , nera kambi counting thaan..apram Hema voda unale naan ketten, ennale nee kette nnu duet thaan..behind the bars !!)
Paarthi goes home and confronts Aanadhi - she has no clue. " hello, ask your daddy... ennai ketta?? " ( pity that she does not ask him a sane question -" wedding ai register pannu nnu thaane solraar!! What is your problem??" ) Now Paarthi opens his mouth to spill a string of pearls - " If you doubt every one, life will be hell " ( that is true and similarly if u trust every one , life will be "Hema Pharmacy" !!)
Time to go and cootchi coo with Hema. Paarthi goes to Hema (madi meethu thalai vaithu vidiyum varai sulk pannuven,maru naal ezhunthu paarppen - BG by Roja) Hema points out that the house looks empty - " we need to furnish this place - to suit your image !!! it should look like a replica of your original home ..just 2 lakhs...let us meet the interior designer guy..." Paarthi says he can't do squat - " daddy knows about us.. pulled all my teeth (pallai pidingittar ) Can't draw even 10 paise... me broke..." Hema is hit by 10,000 watts... she is more concerned about how Ratna got the info.." must be Aanadhi's job. She works in the company and would have found the 20 lakhs !!! After all 20 lakhs !!! ( athu sari, u guys grow the "panam kaichi maram" at the backyards - shake it up and u get crores !!!) Paarhti agrees "must be"
