Round 3: Sukhwinder Singh

Good fast-paced song!
the high-notes are nice, low-notes do not seem too effort-less to me. motivated song. however, the repetition of the title continuously makes it boring. pronunciation is not too clear especially in the fast-paced parts of the song. not too great for me, does not reveal a lot about the potential of Sukhwinder ji, it has some good parts as well, but overall, its just the zeal and energy of the song that keeps you going. would have to suffice myself by giving it an 8 out of 10.

Ah a full 10 for me. Plenty of soul and he is truly inspirational. I doubt any of the singers can do justice to this song.

Waah waah waah. This song is again a great motivator just like Lakhshya. 9 for me.

A great motivational song, with typical Salim-Sulaiman arrangements, reminiscent of the music of 'Kaal'.

Clearly, pronunciation is not really Sukhwinder's priority. And neither is he into the whole 'silky voice' thing either.

But we don't look to Sukhi for all that - we listen to him for raw, passionate and joshila stuff. Sometimes it is easier to relate to something that is quirky and imperfect in places, I think.

The tune is again quite simple, except in the freakout high note sessions, which are quite challenging. Sur pe toh bahot pakki pakad hai Sukhiji ki. And his special voice breaking harkats make a reappearance in this song. The joshila, aggressive style of singing is very apt and produces the desired effect.

I would have preffered the high notes to be hit without all that strain and nasality. Those intonations should have been kept to a mere touch. Overall, an eight out of ten from me!

Good performance by Sukhwinder Singh!


Definitely one of the most talented, if not hte most talented singer in India. This was a challenging song, and Sukhwinder did a great job throughout. He did a reasonably good job in the difficult portions hitting the high notes, though I felt his voice quality wasn't as good in this song. He definately displays his singing talent, however, he wasn't as good as he usually is voice quality wise. However, he was splending in some portions, such as the "Pisna yuun hi Pisna" and then he goes to a high pitch, which was done very very well. So for that he gets another extra point
