Now it's time for John Abraham to turn southie, we say… The cool hunk has signed on the dotted line for Vipul Shah for a hit Tamil remake 'Kaakha Kaakha'. And guess who will be John's love lady in this one? Asin; the southern beauty who did Vipul Shah's 'London Dreams'.
Sources say that initially Shah had Genelia D'Souza in mind, but as the gal is already paired up with John in 'Hook Ya Crook', Shah chose to finalise Asin, in need of a fresh couple.
Tagged as a hardcore action flick, the Hindi version will be directed by Nishikant Kamath of 'Dombivili Fast' and 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' fame. In this, John features as a tough encounter specialist and for this the actor is said to be working seriously over his physique. Asin here will play the character of a schoolteacher. The film is expected to go on floors in May.
For the record, 'Kaakha Kaakha' had Suriya and Jyothika in lead. Suriya is a south star who is debuting in Hindi with RGV's 'Rakta Charitra'.
