article- mismatch or perfect match? Note on pg 9

There are some mismatched(age difference) couples on tv these days..among these two couples come to mind first & foremost. Gehna basant of balika vadhu and dharamraj santu of bandini..now anyone calling the latter a mis match would face brickbats from their ardent fans..but in the case of the former most sadly agree..Dharamraj '& santu are perfect soulmates no insecurity perfect understanding beautiful bond..but gehna basant are the exact opposite..insecurities plague their already fragile relationship.Recently basant was shown having the same old age difference worries perhaps bcoz he feels gehna to be trapped in this relationship..whereas santu..well there is no where else on earth she'd rather be!!!... But in real life the gehna basant equation is rather more real & far commoner than the ethereal sanraj one..but who wants reality in a soap. Sanraj fans like to close their eyes to harsh realities to float on the clouds of ronit aasiya's fairy tale like portrayal of a much in love couple age gap be damned...well as they say miya biwi raazi...toh kya karega ...you know the rest...and as for gehna basant..hope they overcome their problems and face whatever lies ahead..basant looks & acts much older than gehna..but dharamraj... well he is older but Santu's perfect foil..in all ways & more..jodi no.1 bandini fans believe..kudos to ronit aasiya for making an unbelievable relationship so very lovable & believable..keep rocking both pairs..harsh reality & fairy tale romance..we need both in life..Source: showtime magazine.. 😃

true anita we do put up with a lot of nonsense dont we.. 😆 but they are the lead couple the other couple mentioned arent leads...but definitely fairytale romance is more pleasing to the eye than cold blooded realism..

omg really bairi piya closing? Used to watch it at times..oh well ekta shows are struggling these days sarvagunn is also closing i heard..only PR & BANDINI are holding fort for balaji then..

Many thanks Ramona for the article. For me SanRaj are just not fairytale but rather symbolize couple who make marriage work. Agreed there is considerable age difference between DM and Santu but at same time there is respect and willingness to be together and work it out - this is where Sanraj Magic lies and has been the best part... hope CVs don't do much damage😊
