Balaji telefilm head honcho Ekta Kapoor loves waxing eloquent over leading man Ronit Roy. Ask ekta and she gushes there are no superstars on tv anymore except RONIT.And i am proud to say he is basically MY DISCOVERY. BALAJI gave to the public this actor who were it not for the power of tv would not have been able to showcase his talent. His acting prowess would have been lost and faded. Television proved thru RONIT that genuine talent exists and is appreciated. Mainstream bollywood proves everything succeeds except talent. There is no formality between Ronit & myself. Yes we have made & will always make fabulous shows together. Right now Ronit is doing BANDINI for us..i accept this show owes everything to its leading man..bandini would not be what it is without the power stature & arrogance of DHARAMRAJ MAHIYAVANSHI portrayed to perfection by RR. RONIT tells me in the ultimate analysis no one knows DM better than him & i agree totally..he puts his foot down & i usually let him have his way. Ronit likes exploring different genres and we always give him that freedom.he told me that since kitchen champion on colors has ended he would take up a once a week crime thriller on sony. And i will definitely watch out for it. But i dont do that genre & never will. Give me a love story family drama anyday laughed ekta. Ronit roy confirmed his new show airs on saturdays on sony oct 23 onwards. an actress called tina is also playing a role in the show which will show one case solved every sat.RONIT however said he was not too happy that the show did not get a weekday primetime slot.well i suppose you have to take what you get....

As we all know you have links with RR, please ask him to put his foot down on the matters regarding BANDINI. Like Ekta says she lets him have it his way, why doesn't he object to his character being slaughtered the way it has to date. He is not the same Dharamraj Mahayvanshi he once was. We need that powerful, insightful, cunning and clever man back not sum brainless, dimwit who can not judge anything anymore.

The man who was able to look at the situation and judge and get to the bottom of things is no more and we want him back.

I am happy for RR and Ekta because RR is one of the best TV actors around.

Thanks ramona for the article RR is very happy with you today I saw on twitter he retweeted all your comments and I loved the one on the gujrati man lolz. Yes I am shocked at this weekly show matter why would sony put a ronit roy show in weekly slot all weekly usually failure that too saturday slot not even primetime

I seriously think RR needs to rewatch the show of late and see whether he can see a glimpse of the actual character Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi he brilliantly portrayed mainly before the first 10yr leap and after that leap was ok but alot of blunders done to his character and slowly faded away because honestly I cannot see that character I fell in love with anymore, I think I know this character more and the viewers 😕 only some of his characteristics are there but what happened with time, he completely had a personality principle changeover/makeover???

RR is an excellent actor, I've watched him for many years from when he started back on TV, hes done fab job, DM was to me the best character he played after Bajaj but aftertime, it looks like RR just goes with the script and this new DM, I wish he would put his foot down right about now! and restore that charm, magnetism he had before with the DM character. As a viewer I dont want to be taken for granted, theres lots I can say but this is enough.

I'm looking forward to his new show but shame if things don't get sorted out with his THIS character so called DM 😕

I agree Shahara, DM's gone through a complete transformation. In the past he just joked about other girls(imaginary, other than Sooji 😆) in the privacy of their room while now after leap he's dancing and jogging with all of these girls. Also emailing girls as well!😲

I was watching the old episodes today and when watching the SR attempt in the tent, he was more determined to find out the truth rather than get it on with Santu. While now the way he's acting is completely opposite, if that tent scene occurred again I think he'd be like who gives a crap about the truth!

In KZK even though Bajaj did change, obviously from being a bad gut to the god guy. Some of his characteristics did change but not completely like this. He became weaker after Prerna came in his life(second marriage) coz she taught him the importance of life and not just business and she made him into a better person. Whereas before he was just ruthless and didn't give a crap about anyone's feelings. I didn't like it that much obviously but it was acceptable and not a huge change like DM here.

ronit is definitely amongst the finest in the business. i have known him through BANDINI.... thats when i found him extremely impressive, and started appreciating his acting skills. the quality of his expressions, for sure, makes him stand out in the crowd.

i want to point out though, to another angle at this stage, apart from agreeing with shahara and fazy, and that is the constant use of BODY DOUBLES and CHEAT SHOTS.

post first leap, the conflict between dm and santu over the truth matter was the climax in their relationship. it was one of the finest fictitious tussles between a husband and wife. the stance of both was just mind blowing. the audience were glued to it. i personally think that a huge opportunity was lost in its final presentation. it was marred by ronit's continuous absence from the most crucial scenes...BDs created a horrific effect... dm's vachan was good, but looked really fake.
i, as an audience, felt genuinely betrayed, hollow and emotionally stranded...a great story and a great track ended hopelessly. keep in mind the background of rudr track...how dm protected santu. he was deeply in love with her...but still the tussle was on....
thats where ekta and her team, including ronit, couldn't deliver it to the audiences....BANDINI started losing its effectiveness because everybody had a role to play, one way or the other.

Here here hashbrown. They have indeed missed so many opportunities and made a mess of a great show. I also felt some of it was partly due to the constant use of BD in cruical scenes and RR was missing when most needed. His professionalism and commitments wavering to a certain degree and the CVs could've made the scenes between Aasiya and RR together if not with others.
