Agree that each book writteb by JA is a masterpiece. 😊I remember having read it the completely other way round I first read "Shall we tell the President" then I read "Prodigal Daughter" and then I read Kane and Abel.😆While we are at it, I for one feel its not a copy of Kane and Abel. Sure the premise is the same, But I think this serial is lovely, and very very well researched in its own right.IT has picked up some of the salient events post independence era in India and has multiple themes, including caste system, terrorism and its linkage with underworld and the India-Pakistan divide, thereby having a much bigger canvass than Kane and Abel.
However, I still feel that they could have developed Kabir's character better..... It comes across as his success is ONLY because of Kismat / Aditya / His Father and the underworld connections...... It seems to be less of his capability......
Also agreed, that they have only taken the inspiration or essence of Kane and Abel...... and Indianized it......It is still a feather in YRF's cap.......simply wonderful....
