Amudha walks into the sea and as she goes in and in, she is being dragged by Jayanthi, her co-worker. She says taking one's life is not an end to any problem and drags her to the shore and offers her place to stay.

Satish brainwashes Madhumita who is worried abt Suresh being alert now, after stopping drinking. Satish says we shd introduce a more potent bOdhai in the form of love, a girl. Anitha his present secretary is leaving and now is the best time to appoint a girl of their choice in that post and they shd make Suresh fall for her and then they can make him dance to their tunes using that girl. Madhu is shrewd and asks what if that girl is smart to have her own tunes and Satish tells her he has an apt candidate who will do as per their bidding. Madhu approves.

Jayanthi brings Amudha to a bungalow and tells her that it is her house and gives her change of clothes; Vasu comes home and is being served food by mom. He asks abt Amudha but she evades; finally, says amudha left home with suitcase. Vasu is shocked and walks away without eating.

Jayanthi tells amudha that she ran away from home trusting an useless fellow; then she had some good time with another guy before she found out that he was already married; his family offered her this house in return for leaving that guy. She leaves amudha thinking when vasu calls her. She answers and tells him she cant live with his mom and she is out of his life. Vasu is shocked.
