no clue although there is mention of swayamvar in devi purana and fleeting reference to it in shiva purana the choosing of bridegroom by daksh is unheard of probably they took liberty in that regard as they did with tarkasur.
there in many deviations in the track like khyati and aditi living with daksh , no mention of diti, who according to bhagavatha purana is progenitor of rakshasas and also regarding shukracharya as he is son of brighu.
however as long as the main track involving shiva and sati does'nt go haywire it should be fine.
