There is some good news from Dolly Sohi, the small screen's Bhabhi, who relocated to Canada post marriage to software engineer Avneet Dhanowa. The actress is going the family way. Dolly bid adieu to the small screen and Mumbai last year.

Laidback life

Speaking from Victoria, Canada, she says, "I am pregnant. I am taking it real easy. My health is okay. Anyway, I have been leading an extremely laidback life in Victoria! I spend hours at the supermarkets here. I must have eaten everything possible on the shelves!"

The baby is due in early 2007 and Dolly is looking forward to play mother in real life now. "As it is the first few months, I have been advised not to travel for a while. But I do intend coming down to Mumbai around September-October."

Exchanging notes

Though there are avid followers of Indian soaps in Victoria, Dolly says she is not glued to TV. "We do get certain channels here and people are really hooked to the serials. But I hardly watch television as I am still exploring the sights and smells of Canada. In fact, it is my mother-in-law who watches each and every show!"

Dolly is in touch with some of her co-stars who fill her in on what is happening on the Mumbai front. "I spoke to Raymon Singh (Sunaina of Bhabhi) the other day and we exchanged notes, so I know what's happening there."

Dolly, who wed Victoria-based Avneet in March last year, quit Bhabhi in December. "Though it's months since I moved from Mumbai, I still miss my folks, the city and the Bhabhi unit. But then change is a part of life. I am happy in my new home in Canada."
