Unmarked envelope on top of courrier parcel?

Why would the envelope just be on top of the package: unmarked, no address, nothing...It was just placed on top of the box. Why wouldn't it be inside the box? Or else, with some information on the envelope, because there's no way it could just stay on top of the box through the whole journey from Bombay to Bhopal..

Agree with you, if the envelope would have been put well somewhere in example in the box or something then this misunderstanding wouldn't have started. But as there had to be something "intresting twist" this was it.
