its really odd to see....

its odd for hindus as for us cousins are just like brothers/sisters.we perform rakshabhandan festival with cousin also.but for muslims its quite normal.even marriage is possible between cousins in some hindu punjabis also.

I can understand from where you'r coming.
Its even weird for me to watch two cousins getting romantically involved with each other coz being a Hindu its very odd for me.
But since its a Muslim show & they are trying to show Muslim traditions & culture so I guess they are taking this angle into consideration too as cousins can marry each other in Islam.
But it has not been cleared whether Aaliya' s Mom Shabana & Zain's Dad Usman are real siblings or not.
I mean its quite possible that they are cousins too & are so close maybe coz as children they might have lived & grown up together.
But still its weird for me...but I guess we'll have to get used to this tradition as well in the process of watching the show.

Yaa but its not clear if Zain and Aliyas Dad and Mom are real bro sis..may be they are also cousin...

yes thts d thing re... generally in hindus 1st cousins r like real sibling... we tied dem rakhi... n all... bt nw see ds is really odd...

yes I heared abt punjabi n other caste bt thr thy nt 1st cousins. .. 🤔
