Debina Bonnerjee is best.......and deepika was best

i agree with juhi....deepika ji was the best and is still praseworthy....but in today's era debina ji ne hum sabki kaya palat di....same with both the lord rams.....😊

Debina. Not only does she capture Sita's beauty er, beautifully (I never thought that Dipika was beautiful - to each his own), but one problem I had with the way Dipika depicted Sita was as a very weepy and servile woman. True, Sita was a pativrata stri, something she emphatically demonstrated while in Lanka, but their marriage was one of mutual respect - something better represented in this serial than the earlier one. I haven't seen other Ramayans to make a judgement, but I'll bet that in the beauty department, Debina stands alone.

Both Debina n Deepika have portrayed Sita with grace, but as this is poll and we can't vote for both,my vote goes to Debina.

As far as the presentation of Sita is concerned, Deepika was too weepy n meek in the previous version but Debina is depicted Sita as a 'woman of today' but what we need to understand is whether they are real Sita?? For this we've to read Valmiki's Ramayan not just once but again and again........... we realize that the real Sita does weep and wail petiously when she had to but at the same time she had great courage and presence of mind , in short she was 'Go-mukha vyaghra' a tigress in a veil of a cow.; This image of Sita was well presented by Deepika because each episode of Ramayan was of 45 mins where as today's Ramayan has 20 min episodes ( that too with hell of lot of ads 😕) from which we really can't test them.

To ChandraKetu: Normally, I don't talk like this, but I HAVE to say Deepika. Sita was SUPPOSED to be servile to Ram, THAT is why she was one of the pativratas! Debina is kind of acting like wives act to their husbands today...that is unnaceptable. Would that make everyone of us when we are married pativratas? To be a pativrata is VERY hard, and Sita is supposed to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Devoted to Ram. Debina as Sita did not really seem devoted to him, sorry. She did, but not that great. SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO ALLOW RAMJI TO PRESS HER FEET, AND HE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT EITHER!!!!!!!! Deepika did EXTREMELY well, and she felt like a pathivratha to me. I AM VERY SORRY FOR THOSE WHO I OFFENDED< BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND. You say this about Debina, don't you? Why can't I say this about Deepika? Thank you, and forgive me

Deepika as Sita is definitely superior. Sitaji was supposed to be servile to Rama. That's what made her a pativrata. Also, Deepika was not weepy at all, not at all. There are soooooooo many instances where she was strong willed and angry. In the old Ramayan, whenever Ravan annoyed Sita, Deepika as Sita showed perfect anger, her pride as Shri Ram's wife, and her rage over being treated as she was. I love Deepika, and I think she was the most beautiful Sita who acted so far. Debina is really pretty too (I love her cute expressions), but Deepika is too beautiful. My mother's brother, who was in his teens when the old Ramayan played, had a crush on Deepika for a long time.😆

No need to apologize - we are discussing things here, and yours is a very valid opinion. But out here, Debina is as deferential to Rama as the original/real Sita supposedly was, she isn't exactly being what contemporary women are. You are right - being a pativrata is incredibly hard, and there were only a handful of them in Hindu mythology. However, at times, I thought Dipika went over the top, with phrases such as 'I worship the dust on your feet' when Rama set foot on Lanka. Maybe that's more accurate than this one - it would be interesting to know.

However, my point was that Sita was supposed to be both an example and an inspiration for women everywhere, and in that respect, I thought (again, this is just my humble opinion) that Debina plays that role better than Dipika ever did.
