Mayank Gandhi will be seen playing the pivotal role of Virat in 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat'. He will be seen as an authoritative person with strong political views. His first meeting with Ashoka will not be a pleasant one, but gradually they will generate a liking towards each other and become good friends. Virat will eventually prove to a blessing in disguise for Ashoka and become his protector. He will also play a catalyst in Ashoka and Kaurwaki's love story

On the personal front, Mayank will tie the knot with actress Hunar Hale on August 28 in Delhi. An arranged match, the actors were introduced by their respective families. Their casual meeting blossomed into love soon after. He was earlier in a relationship with the 'Ye Hai Mohabbatein' actress Mihika Verma. However, soon after the split, Mihika got married to an NRI and is settled abroad.

Awesome news!May be this guy will be like the character Danny Denzogpa played in the movie.He will be his best friend who will always support and guide him.

I too want to know why do the cvs make every character Ashwaki shipper?

Why does everyone have to play cupid for Ashok and Karuwaki??

Is their love so weak that each and every character is involved in bringing them together.

First Dharma, then Devi and now Virat.

If ashok Karuwaki's love is strong, they should unite on their own rather than each and every character trying to patch up their broken relationships. It's highly ridiculous and hilarious.

Ok so this character of Virat was played by Danny Denzongpa in the movie Asoka with SRK. Now the thing is that this character is totally fictional and never existed in real life. Why the hell are the CV's introducing fictional characters??? And why does everyone want AshWaki?? We wanna see Ashoka's rise to the throne! We wanna see the dead bodies increasing and the blood flowing out every single moment!! We wanna see violence and intense battles!
