Archana Puran Singh talks about her bold show and beautiful films
Hopping between TV and films, Archana Puran Singh is now exuberant about anchoring her new TV show 'Kandyfloss'.
"I'm having a blast doing it," she says adding that she gets a complete kick with gorgeous girls holding heated discussions.
"People may say it's not intellectual but I beg to differ. We all have this voyeuristic tendency in us which the show encapsulates," she explains.
Archana feels the show is creating talking points.
"I was disturbed by the news of the model getting shot in the head. For me it's a human interest story," says Archana who would like such topics to take centre stage in her show.
Besides this, Archana is excited about the current films she is involved with.
"I'm doing a romantic comedy 'Mera Dil Leke Dekho', where Jackie Shroff plays my spouse," she says. Another film that is doing the rounds of film festivals is 'The Gold Bracelet'.
"It's a film based on the post 9/11 trauma that Sikhs went through. The film portrays the identity crisis of a young Sikh whose brothers are mistaken as terrorists and shot dead. I play a young widow," she explains.
"While the guy debates on chopping off his hair, the incident brings him closer to his roots," she adds.
