Earlier on in 2010 during interviews AS wished the show goes for 1000 episodes and AB said he plans to do TV for 3 years and maybe consider business.

Could it be these actors were given a broad timeline and they were expected to sign on for 3 years? Makes sense in a way. Any show is good to go out on a high note than to force it keep going just to stay on the air.
